About Me

I was born in Vancouver, BC Canada and grew up in an apartment in the area of Point Grey. Since we didn’t have a yard I considered the whole neighbourhood as my play area. Hunting caterpillars and frogs in the woods surrounding the University of British Columbia (now known as Pacific Spirit Park) and beachcombing along the waterfront of Spanish Banks for treasures; developed my love of being outdoors. But the very best time of my childhood (thanks to my grandmother!) was spent with my sister and cousins at our family cabin in West Sechelt. We literally lived on the beach in our forts every summer.

Drawing and painting animals were always my favourite thing to do (besides building forts and rafts). I spent many hours studying my beloved pets and eventually started doing pet portraits for friends and later co-workers.

Primarily self-taught I have completed courses in visual art media at Langara College, Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design, and The Vancouver Academy of Art.

I'm an  Active Member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, Southern Gulf Islands Arts Council and the Richmond Arts Coalition.
